Except there is one big difference. Yes, they flop in the NBA


but when they do, they fall to the floor then look at the ref to see if they got the call. If they get the call, they celebrate, if they don't, they shrug and move on.

In soccer, they don't just fall down, they act like they've been shot by a sniper. It is the embellishment of the flop that annoys US sports fans, not the flop itself.
