It would be like a WR being open by 5 yards and then slowing down to allow the DB to run over him because the WR is afraid of dropping the ball and instead wants PI. In this replay, the Mexico player chose not to take a shot vs. the goalie and clearly leaned back and into the defender in hopes of a foul. He backed away from the opportunity. Pretty amazing to watch.
