I heard LU Coach Jackson on radio after the game.

He said Price is the best fielding pitcher he has ever seen and they had already decided it was highly likely they were going to 3rd on a bunt. So yeah, hindsight is 20/20 I guess, but it seems like VT kind of played into their hands on that one. Plus, I'm not totally sold on the whole sabremetrics stuff, but those guys are pretty adamant about ever giving up an out.
