Five Thoughts The Day After The Hokies’ Win Against Wake Forest

Another home game, another win for the Hokies.

Virginia Tech is starting to look pretty good at home after a 30-13 victory against Wake Forest on Saturday, a game in which the defense made life miserable for the Demon Deacons and quarterback Kyron Drones had another big day.

The Hokies have now doubled up on opponents in their last two home games, outscoring Pitt and Wake Forest 68-34. That didn’t happen against the best of the best — the Panthers and Deacons are a combined 1-5 in ACC play — but wins are wins, and Tech (3-4, 2-1 ACC) now has twice as many in league play as it did last season.
