Agree. And for me it goes to my "empty seats rule".
If people watching TV see empty seats, they figure "maybe this is something I shouldn't be watching either." So even if they keep watching, it still isn't good for the long-term enthusiasm of the brand. This is also why I like a home campus for the ACCCG (although attendance is getting better with Clemson being in it every year lately).
They should have it in Indianapolis or Chicago every year in my opinion and just keep it there. Crowds would be much better, TV viewership wouldn't be hurt, and they could play when they wanted.
Playing in MSG before the BE tourney seems small time to me. Kinda like what the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl is to the Sugar Bowl. And it doesn't need to be that way.
