which has implications for how well the rock "curls" moves left or right too, if the rock is going too fast it ain't going to bend, on the other hand you might want to get it past another rock before it starts to curl. Really not a whole lot of brooming technique other than to go at it really hard or do it lightly, that's what the skip is yelling: "Hard, hard, hard"! kinda stuff. Cleans off all the frost and ice dust to make the track smoother.
