If the world is shifting to a virtually be 100% streaming

then what impact could that have on the role of conferences and conference realignment? Basically could there come a point where enough schools want to de-centralize the role of the conference so they can negotiate their own media contracts. I am assuming there will be an abundant number of streaming sources to a point where it may be difficult for all the members of the conference can agree on which services to use.

Depending on how much longer the arms race continues in college athletics, I would think the schools that consistently carry the banner for a conference may start to think that every member in the conference should receive an equal slice of the pie. Instead, it should be weighted on how much contribution the school makes to the conference. Also, it doesn't necessarily mean all the schools would become independents. Instead the conferences could take on more like a confederation role that really doesn't have any powers beyond enforcing whatever bylaws are agreed upon by the members.
