SlingTV is workable, not awesome

We cut the cord at the end of last year when Verizon jacked our rates at the end of a 2yr deal. We used SlingTV for a bit, but the interface is pretty awful and they don't do a good job with compression/streaming (lots of time spent buffering and we have 75Mbps up/down). Everything else in our house streams just fine (iTunes, Netflix, etc.).

I hear good things about the just launched YouTube TV, and it has all the ESPN's. I've not subscribed yet, but that will likely be my go to once football season starts up, assuming it has an Apple TV app. I trust Google/YouTube to kind of have the whole streaming/compression thing pretty well mastered at this point.

If that doesn't work, might use football as the excuse to get an Xbox or PS and go that route :-)
