WW2 peeps: ...do these Free Polish Army mathematics make any sense to you?
Found and been watching/enjoying the B.B.C.'s:
Gladiators of WWII series on YouTube.
Very good. Has things in it I've never ever seen/heard
of before. Does a great job of covering smaller to
medium -though quite interesting- engagements.
That compliment firmly in place... so I went into wiki to
study up on the Polish Army that got away from jerry
and kept fighting along best they could.
wiki claims the Free Polish Army fielded nearly 90,000
Wehrmacht, deserters?!?
Is that even remotely plausible?
Or even somehow possible?
Or just propaganda?
Jawohl, there will be a few deserters/defectors.
Sure enough. I get that.
Though 90k is basically 4 full Divisions worth of
german fighting men, and the associated intel'.
If you could trust them all, I suppose...
So is that even remotely true?
Anyone have anything on this?
