I spent 25 of my first 30 years in Charlottesville.

BUT ... I spent five years, from age 5 to age 10, in Radford. And I always felt more like a Radford kid than a Charlottesville kid, even after we move back to Charlottesville and I spent may more years there.

Charlottesville is a nice place, but despite spending 84% of my first 30 years there, I never warmed up to it, and always wanted to live down here, instead.

Finally made my escape in 1994, and have been here ever since. For me, this really is #ThisIsHome.

Dresser may feel the same way about Iowa. My point is that longevity at a place doesn't necessarily mean that you consider it home.
