It could be treated exactly the same way.
ESPN wanted 7 more ACC games by having the ACC increase the conference schedule to 9 games. Adding UConn would give ESPN 7 more games involving ACC schools and UConn. They would pay the ACC for the games at ACC venues, and they would pay UConn for games at UConn.
ESPN can put value on that just as they did for the 5 Notre Dame games. They are paying about $25 million per year for the Notre Dame games. The UConn games would be worth less, but then there would be 2 additional. ESPN gets 7 more games involving ACC, but the members don't have to increase the league schedule to 9 games. It can be a win-win-win.
