Hold on...let's actually "look at it".

Your premise ignores that the new HC member would likely be unlikely to purchase those $800 better seats because they'd be behind about 12,000 people in selecting. If those seats are available then this whole program is a total failure before it even starts and VT is in much bigger trouble going forward.

Noware you willing to acknowledge the benefits you got while being Champion? Champions commit to $50,000 over 5 years. For that commitment they got to jump Platinum and Diamond donors who may have given much more cumulative. For examplein the first year of your pledge you've only given say $10,000 cumulative (but you've pledged $40,000 over the next 4 years). You went ahead of say a 15 year Platinum donor who'd say given $5K/year for a cumulative of $75,000. Was that fair? Is it fair for you to stay ahead of that person if they continue giving $5,000 year and you only give $500 for the rest of your life?

I'll acknowledge the HC didn't communicate this properly and didn't execute this very wellbut I think a lot of people didn't lose nearly what they think they did and refuse to acknowledge what they got in the past. I think the holes in the current system are with regards to those Champions still in the middle of a pledge (which they're supposedly working with on a one on one basis) and the limitations they've put on themselves with regards to capital fundraising.
