Sure but look at it this way...
He was told that he only had to give $500 a year from now on since he fronted them $50k. So let's just say he sticks with that amount -- he only gives $500. He needs 2 tickets so that means he's at the $250 level. So he's going to pick out 2 $250 seats. Mind you they will probably be the best $250 seats in the stadium since he picks pretty early after giving $50k.
Now a new Hokie Club member decides he wants to give $1600 a year -- and get two $800 seats. That's great. He gets his two $800 seats.
So the guy that has given $50,500 over his lifetime is sitting in a worse seat than someone that just decided to join and has only given $1600.
Again...I understand why the Hokie Club moved to the new model. It's needed. I just think they shorted some people that gave them money up front and didn't treat them fairly.
