Criteria are:

- winning % (70%, min 8 matches)
- RPI (min 17 matches)
- coaches' poll rankings

You have to qualify in 2 out of 3 to be "silver" and earn an automatic bid. (I think it's 8 for winning % and 17 for RPI, but I may have that backwards.) Right now, he's 5-2, which is over 70%, but one match short of 8. He's not ranked, and would probably need some sort of "statement" win to get into the polls. An RPI qualification would require 10 more matches, which is probably *2* open tournaments. That seems unlikely.

We've only got 3 more matches in the season, not counting any open tournaments. He'd have to go 2-1 to keep 70% winning percentage if he goes in all three (1-1 won't cut it, but 1-0 would). One of them is against NCSU's Jack, and another is the National Duals opponent.

A successful tournament in Edinboro might help if he's ready to go. But it might do nothing or hurt; no idea what the field looks like.

In any event, qualifying for 141 will be challenging.
