Most FM transmitters are shite, don't transmit much


Due to Govment regulations, anything you buy @ Walmart/Target/Best Buy will be relatively weak. Unless you're driving thru isolated areas, don't expect the FM transmitters to consistently over-power the local stations.

You can buy quasi-legal FM transmitters that are much better, but they typically run $100-200.

I'd probably go with:

1) Phone (and play via Bluetooth)
2) Portable speaker w/ Bluetooth
3) Charger for the devices
