What is the basis for comparison?


Different sports require vastly different skill sets. If your criteria is the best soccer player, then you are probably correct.

If your criteria is best football player, then I'll hazard a guess that Messi can't carry Brady's jock strap.

Who is the better athlete of Messi, Serena Williams, Michael Phelps, LeBron, Brady, Allyson Felix, etc., etc.? I don't think you can definitively make that call.
