OK, let me rephrase that. People prefer quantity over quality. they want to be served and eat quickly and they have a great desire to tip for getting less service but at the same time they want the food to be inexpensive.

They want it quick, fast ... so they can't have it good also. So you America are to blame because you lazy asses can't cook at home anymore.

Blame the restaurant if you want, but you're the one asking for it. Olive Garden knows how to take out expensive ingredients so that you won't notice. They replace cream sauce with that paste you used to eat in elementary school. They sell you sweet crap wine probably out of 500 gallon containers even though they have bottle of wine lining the walls, do they ever take one of those down? I don't think so.

I'm going to guess PF Change does the same thing, Chinese restaurants are pretty inexpensive to begin with so PF Changs must being doing some real cost cutting to be able to operate in shopping malls and return profits to their investors.

OK, I don't know what I'm talking about because I've never been in one. But I can sense it, I can sense the scam that allows them to expand rapidly, they're making money because they've found out a way to cut corners on Chinese food w/o people noticing.


PS there was an article in some business magazine about PF Changs successful business model but I neglected to read it. But I can guess.
