diagnosed by a specialist, but we need to do a much better job with our mental health system. I have a PhD in counseling psychology and chose to become a researcher as opposed to a clinician after realizing how little support counselors receive and what a pain insurance is (I started out as a clinician). I have also dealt with depression - it's truly awful because it affects every part of who you are. Anyway, just nice to hear someone who feels that our system is so lacking in this area.
