Grobe kept them because that was the condition put on him by Baylor.


Baylor only got rid of Briles because of the external pressure had gotten so great.

Baylor did not "repent" of it's sins. Baylor and it's fans still do not believe they did anything wrong. If they actually believed the sports programs were rotten to the core, they would have cleaned the football house.

Unfortunately, Baylor valued winning football over doing the right thing. Baylor figured the current staff, sans Briles, would be able to continue their winning ways, with a "caretaker" HC in place.
