Blees has been at the college level grind for a couple of years now and he made the move to Tech to start.

Degen, on the other hand, is a very talented freshman, who like many talented freshmen, will benefit greatly from a redshirt year - to get used to the higher competition level and to bulk up. There are bigger names then Degen redshirting for other teams, figuring out what works and what doesn't against some great competition at Open tournaments. That's what the best teams do to maximize the value they get from their best recruits. An extra year in the Tech wrestling room will make Degen, Moore and the others that much better when they become starters.
