You are correct. Question - How would that be any different than


a conference with 2 divisions where the CCG is a rematch of the regular season game? If memory serves me correctly VT has participated in 2 CCG (BC and Clemson) under that scenario. If a CCG is going to be a rematch of a regular season game, then should a conference even play the CCG? I understand a conference wants that extra game (and probably more importantly the $$$ that comes with the game) to increase its chances for a team to make the Playoffs. However, if the CCG is going to be a rematch and rematches only hurt a team's chances, then why even play the game?
