As a neutral World Series observer, I'm trying to decide for which team to

Root.

I can say from personal experience that the Red Sox WS win has taken some of the edge off my fandom.

Keeping the Cubs winless 'streak' alive makes for a more interesting long term story arc than a win. And Cleveland has their own sad tale to tell.

Think I'm going Cleveland. Which means the Cubs will win.
