Re: There are a number of storylines in play for us this year
To piggyback off your post
The Christiansburg kids are our best hope at an individual title. I think Epperly has the best shot followed by Joey. Haught and Walz (probably the best odds of reaching the final) have the ability but face one in a decade/generation talent lurking in their weight classes. I hope we get the chance to see a couple Hokies wrestle on Saturday night.
I'm looking forward to how we, particularly our un-ranked weight classes, fare during the late November-early December stretch. Dresser is challenging the team early with two top 20 road duals and the Cliff Keen tournament (Ohio State, Michigan, Missouri, Cornell, Arizona State, etc.). The staff will have three early season opportunities to evaluate the 133-165 weight classes against top competition.
Personally, I hope Dresser has the chance to red shirt the freshmen. NC State, UVA, and to an extent UNC have upgraded their coaching staffs and red shirting their promising young talent.
