They really know nothing about running a fball conference.
I'm actually not in favor of 9 games. 7th home games are worth between $5-$10 million each for schools like FSU and VT. Furthermore, 8 conference games allows for more quality OOC matchups, especially at places like Clemson and Louisville.
However, this league is embarrassing itself by not setting up more contests between its top teams. Clemson vs. Miami and FSU vs. VT should happen more than once a generation in each stadium. And it's all for the "building up" and "maintaining" of these red hot Coastal and Atlantic "rivalries." Ha!
Additionally, if Swofford and Co were open about their intentions, the B1G and SEC would have played ball in allowing no divisions. They said as much.
So what you do is just create a system that allows for the best 8 games possible. Reestablish divisions every two seasons. What is done right now is nowhere near fare. Miami plays FSU every season while Pitt plays Syracuse. That's not fare. [Post edited by chuckd4vt at 10/06/2016 7:41PM]
