If the little 8 thought that they could expand and easily get a proportional rights increase, they would have already expanded. But TV has no reason to play nice, so you're seeing the schools that could end up with a seat at the table in the inevitable game of musical chairs waffling between the OU/UT camp and the Iowa St camp.

It's not dysfunction so much as it's every man for himself - with no areas to compromise.
