National Duals Question
Need some clarification the 2017 National Duals selection process.
The format for next season shift home sites to non-B10 teams hosting top ranked B10 teams. According to NWCA, home sites will be represented by the highest ranked team in 8 non-B10 conferences
Doing some meat-cleaver math here for who gets host bids (as its not explicitly outlined on NWCA site):
ACC
B12
MAC
SoCon
EIWA get 2 bids (1 from Patriot, 1 from Ivy)
EWL
PAC12
Additionally, 2 wild card teams can be added if ranked in top 5.
So does this mean there could be a 9th match added, less than 8 B10 teams or nonB10 conference champ possibly left out.
I have total confidence that VT will take care of business and be the ACC host, but this model suggests to me that another Orange-ing is possible.
