Only two or three votes are needed to stop expansion. This would be a short term money grab. Those schools which may not make the cut if it goes to a p4 will need help finding an eventual landing spot. Not sure it is wise for the conference or those schools like Iowa state to be pissing off someone you will need in a few years.

Seems like leverage could be applied.
