Ellen's when you finish. Those two are my faves in town and everyone I take loves it. If you like Indian or Mediterranean food Sitar or Saharah are both downtown near mall area and very yummy. Bar 101 is good for the younger set. Adelphia is decent sports bar downtown. Go to First Watch for breakfast one day but get there early or there will be a wait, only serve breakfast/brunch but is really good. My favorite downtown bar is Recovery. All of these are within walking distance.

Festivall is going on this weekend. Any of the live on the levee events are usually fun. I would avoid the Towne Center Mall and the surrounding bus depot any time after dark. Not overly safe especially if walking around alone.
