I feel your mulch. Shoveled 20 wheelbarrows a day over

three weekends, on six days. Mulch shovel-loads aren't at all heavy, but barrow loads from the pile to far corners of the yard are good exercise. Three azalea and gardenia beds, each 8x30', and two large beds of maybe 200sqft each, all to a depth of 8".
