In terms of ticket sales & contributions, there is a "glass ceiling"

with that as a poster previously put it. People contribute to get good football seats and there are X number of good/total seats. There are ways to squeeze as much as you can out of the donors but football seating is the basis. Increasing the stadium size is a non-starter as you can buy (bad) season tickets now without being a contributor -- or maybe $110 to Hokie Club. All that said, VT needs to maximize other revenue streams with tv being a big one.
