There are 20 states with a smaller population than SD county..


including Iowa, WV, Miss, Ark, Kansas and Nebraska..In comparison to Louisville for exampleSDSU has substantially more students and better academics. It is in a great city with great beaches and great weather. It has a growing population and lots of transportation options. Unfortunately it will only get into a P5 Conference as a "we need the dues" option. PAC is too snobby (and effectively has CA covered tv market wise) and Big 12 already has one outlier in the opposite direction.
