I'd love to give you great recommendations


but Yelp would probably serve you better. We've been in northridge for about a month and a half and I use yelp religiously. We stick with places that we really liked. The stuff around me is too far north for you to want to go to.

The Hollywood Hokies VT bar is near you. near the intersection of Vineland and Ventura Blvd, The Man Cave. The owner is a Michigan State grad. Ran into Bieber there at one of our Thursday night games. The affordable watering hole I like is Residuals. Craft beer is $4.50 during happy hour which is all day every day.

Uncle Andre's has decent ratings on yelp. I've avoided barbecue places for the most part. The mexican and asian food is bound to be good. If you stick with those places, you won't be disappointed.

One cool place to go is Casa Vega, the lobster enchilada's are really good and the atmosphere is totally old school hollywood. The other food I've tried there is so-so. Very dim but same decor they would have had in the 50's along with the old school waiters. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston would frequent there when dating.

Birds in hollywood is also a cool place to eat. Love the neighborhood. Good food and good beer. Medium affordable.

Worthwhile sight seeing, Griffith Park for unparalleled views of the city and it's free.
