If the wedding is Sunday and you still plan to leave at Noon on Friday, I would take 81 to 66 and spend the night at the Hampton Inn in Gainesville-Haymarket ($139 per night) before you hit the madness of Northern Virginia rush hour on a Friday night before a holiday weekend. Wake up at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning and you can make it to Kent Island in around two hours, avoiding the madness on both the Beltway and the Bay Bridge. Your options are likely: arrive between 9 p.m. and midnight on Friday night exhausted or around 8 or 9 a.m. on Saturday refreshed.
