I understand that and don't have a problem with it


However, a case could be made that the packages are oversaturated with certain genres of channels (i.e. home auction/shopping, religious, etc). Given the abundance of home auction/shopping channels that are included in the various packages, I would find it hard to believe that they are all independently owned. I would not be surprised if a majority of them are either own or affiliated somehow with a larger network. What I am having a hard time understanding is why a network would want to own or be affiliated with multiple channels of the same genre. For example Network XYZ own 10 home auction/shopping channels. I would think the cost of running those 10 channels would at some point cut into the network's profit margin even if you factored in the dollars from advertising.
