more of VT percentage of revenue will come from donations and maybe there will be a drop in season tickets. but doing this now with a home schedule that has notre dame Clemson, penn state and Michigan coming to town, might buffer it a bit through the transformation.

The Big picture at 50,000 foot level, VT needs to have a athletic program that is funded alot more by contributions and less reliant on game revenues. This makes the program much more sustainable. being one of the worse percentage of contributions from the alumni base is not good and sustainable if you want an athletic program to be the lights of the SEC or major powers.
