I recommend automatic monthly contributions to SERTC. That's what we do. That way, the payments are small enough on a monthly basis that it doesn't hurt, but the total annual figure is meaningful. Also, check to see if your company does matching contributions on charitable giving. Many do, but don't broadcast it.
