Urbanna is a neat little town, I suppose...but in general...

...there isn't an awful lot of girly stuff (any "stuff", really) to do in that general area that I'm aware of. There are a few decent golf courses around, etc. For quality shopping, etc., you'll probably want to run into Williamsburg (probably about an hour from there, give or take). You could visit Yorktown, Jamestown, etc., but meh. How did your friend settle on that "destination"?
