The P5 has already begun distancing itself from the NCAA. (paying players)

That's a HUGE move. Establishing a playoffs was too. The only thing keeping these power schools with the others is the NCAA Tournament. However, that dough isn't as great as it once was compared to what football is now bringing in. It's probably not enough to keep these P5 money makers with the money takers.

I foresee a break away league that's operated internally by the P65 schools. They will likely jettison a handful of schools and add a few more, such as UCONN. They will work together to establish and police realistic rules and regulations as well, which is quite needed obviously. While UNC can get over on some non-P5 schools who are just happy to get their checks, they will not get over when a group of schools like Oregon, Texas, or Michigan are doing the enforcing. In fact, a weakened UNC helps all of them in many ways.
