Hurt in the immediate future, help though 3-5 years down the road

Fanbase isnt strong enough to start charging yet, except for big matches. Moss was the start of charging for tickets, and getting the fanbase used to paying, and its well worth it.

One of the obstacles to charging is the size of cassell. Its too big, and there isnt the demand to fill the building yet. At Michigan, Cliff keen arena holds 1,800, which will sell out at least half their home matches, and creates demand. People out here are willing to pay the $5 to guarantee admission and the program gets a cut.

I do think we will start seeing a $5 fee on the big matches in the next 3 years, and i think its completely reasonable. I do hope they:
1. Allow students in for free
2. Allow children under 18 in for free

Cause i think a VT wrestling match is a great friday night activity for a dad with kids, and it shouldnt cost a dad and 3 sons $20 to watch VT.

Doing the math, lets say VT pulls 50% profit on a ticket and fits about 1,500 paying customers for the top 5 out of 10 or so home matches. Thats $18,750. Considering our operating budget this year was reported to be roughly $120,000, and that was more than double 2 years ago (reported as $56,000) thats 15% of our current operating budget.

I think its completely reasonable to have to pay $5 per match for half the home matches, but i dont run the program and dont have to answer to fan pressures.
