THIS is what not having a ACCN looks like. Can we forgo the $45?

Would ESPN give us back our potential network content, while keeping the $45?

Could we then establish a network using the Pac12 model? They are ALREADY making in the ballpark of $3 million/year. And they are soon to be much more profitable as they begin producing less games. They've been producing over 800 games, while the SEC's producing 500. That's cut into revenue a ton. It was stated that Pac12 teams could be bringing in a million or two more dollars each if they produced less games. Or perhaps the Pac12 appreciates being the most televised conference? Anyhow, the Pac12 is over the hump with start up costs and is now bringing in the dough. Furthermore, they are in the position of keeping every dollar from each new subscriber. The SEC and B1G are splitting money with ESPN and Fox respectively.

So would this be the move? We would essentially buy back that product from ESPN with that $3 million/school. And how much would we owe entities like Raycom and MSG for the content they own? Perhaps they could help an ACCN with distribution?
