Uncle played professional baseball for the Braves organization


he was an outfielder who was batting over .300, but he wasn't a slugger like the Braves wanted at the time. His career ended when he developed some health issues and they were going to call him up for a tryout with the big team. He wouldn't have made it likely because the Braves had some guy behind him they thought had a "bigger pop" in his bat..that guy: Henry Aaron.
