Gourley ran a 3:57 1600, but UVA and SU both ran 3:56. I haven't talked with anyone at the meet, but just looking at the splits, the 400 leg really hurt us. I usually don't think much of the 400 in the DMR, but UVA put 2.5 seconds on us there, and held it the rest of the way.

I hope that didn't take too much out of Gourley. Last year we ran Curtin as the anchor in the DMR, and saved the milers for the semis and mile finals. Looks like everyone is going to be doing more this year.
