There was a story about catching a racoon that reminded me of something that happened to me years ago.

I went into one of our smaller buildings in our company at 6 AM and it was obvious that a skunk had gone under the building. This was a building for our service guys and I knew that I had to remedy this if the folks were going to be able to work that day, so I went about looking for an exterminator. I found a company called "Cobra Pest Control" that advertised that they would take any type of pest.

When I spoke with the exterminator, he explained that you couldn't poison them but would have catch them and remove them. He also explained that there was probably a whole family under the building and that it was expensive to get rid of skunks. I asked, "How expensive" and after several times of repeating that it was expensive to get rid of skunks, he finally told me $100. I was expecting it to be about 5 times that, so I told him to come on out. He arrived and told me that he would have to crawl under the building with a sack and pull them out one by one.

I gave him a check and he said that I didn't have to pay him until he was done, but I told him I didn't want to be near him when he was done. He crawled under the building and 6 times I heard a hiss, followed by "Damn". The skunks were removed and I found out that it was not nearly as expensive as I would have charged to get rid of skunks.
