Women's sports have traditionally not gotten the priority most places.

Since Football and Men's basketball have traditionally brought in the revenue, they have taken priority and that reflected on other men's sports. In the ACC, UNC and Maryland put high priority on women's sports a long time ago. They each won the majority of their NCAA championships in women's sports. UNC in soccer. Maryland in lacrosse and field hockey.

This is changing though. More schools are focusing on women's sports. In the ACC I see it especially at Florida State. UVA is starting to. But I'm still disappointed in the priority UVA puts on women's basketball. There is no good reason that UVA let Dawn Staley go to South Carolina instead of coming to UVA. They kept Debbie Ryan 5 years to long. UVA has a lot of work to do in women's sports. Softball stinks. So I hear you about VT women's lacrosse.

To fix this stuff it just takes priority and focus.
