"relaiming content..."

How do you suppose that content would be "recalimed?" So many of the solutions we come up with for the ACCN's roadblocks are far, far easier said that done: reclaiming the Raycom content, co-opting the LHN, even Notre Dame joining full. They all require the cooperation of more that just the ACC and one other party. Every single party will need to get paid.
For Raycom's part, I don't see them letting go of that content easily, if at all. It's what is keeping them in the game. They pay ESPN $50 million per year for those games, and if ESPN wants them back the price will be substantailly higher. Instead of a cash sale, Raycom may use those games to leverage a parnership in the ACCN. As you point out, Raycom reassigns those rights to regional networks. How far into the future might those deals extend? What would it take to get Fox's cooperation in developing the ACCN?
The ACC dug themselves into a hole when they wholesaled all of their rights to ESPN. The Raycom portion of the contract dug the hole much deeper.
I read often that ESPN might want to "cancel", "dump", "kill" the Longhorn Network. Whether ESPN wants to do that or not, they have a contract that must be dealt with first. ACC message board fans assume that the demise of the LHN means that Texas will be joining the ACC, at least for football, and the LHN becomes the ACCN. I don't see the logic of that.
Why would Texas want to give up the deal they have? And if ESPN could persuade them that they would be better off with a conference network, why wouldn't they just scrap the deal with ESPN (if ESPN really wants out) and create the Big 12 Network? Remember that the LHN deal was negotiated for Texas by IMG, the Navy Seals of rights contracts. They will have a say (as the Tier 3 rights holder) in any movement of the LHN. Bringing Texas to the East Coast would be cost prohibitive.
Every player in these deals is going to look out for themselves. When you project the path to an ACCN, consider the deals from the other party's point of view, not just according to what is good for the ACC. What motive does ESPN, Texas, Raycom have to deliver an ACCN?
