Not even remotely a moot point. It's only a very partial revenue share.


There is a max contribution to the shared pool of money - and the big boys (UM, OSU, PSU) get back the difference between the avg and the max. So the net revenue loss for the big boys from sharing is prob less than $2 million - on maybe $40million or so in ticket revenue. It's even less for the Iowa's, Mich St's, Neb's & Wisky's.

Ticket revenues absolutely matter in the Big 10.
