If the ACC, Big Ten, Pac-16, and SEC decided to work together


to create 4 regionalized conferences (each with 16 members), then the Big Ten could possibly be interested in adding Iowa State. The idea being that the divisions would look like this:

East: Ohio St, Michigan, Michigan St, Notre Dame, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, and NW

West: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Iowa St, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, and Kansas St

Yes, I know it will never happen because it would make too much sense for them to work together to divide up the 64 schools. Plus, there is still a certain level of competition between them in terms of the respective media contracts.
