I would agree with respect to FSU and U of F. Miami on the other hand


is a different story. Miami, which at one time was a "national" brand, has lost its luster along with its swagger. I live near Orlando and cannot remember the last time the local TV did any kind of in depth reporting on the Canes. Even the hiring of a new coach was not given much air time.
The only thing keeping UM relevant is the abundance of local HS talent. And I'm guessing they are seeing more of that leave the area than in the past.
Personally, I do not see the new coaching staff being able to do much to change that. I like Mark Richt, but IMO he is a poor fit at Miami. I just don't see the majority of players that want to play at UM buying into Richt's personal philosophy.
