There are extremely talented kids in the


Galax, Independence, Fries and Floyd area who are as good as anybody anywhere. But none of them are likely to make a living at it. That area is the mecca of Old Time music from which Blue Grass derived. The Floyd Country Store has a large selection of local music and you can likely buy online. Worth looking into if you are a fan of that style of music.
