If there is an "on-demand" version of the event you recorded

YTTV will sometimes just save that one instead of actually recording the show. That is the one catch with their unlimited DVR.

When you do select a recorded show to watch, see if there is an option to select which version to watch. In a lot of cases, you can choose between a recorded version and an on-demand version, but it will default to the on-demand version.
